Time for Tea

Since I got married 9 years ago I have gained...gasp...20 pounds.  

Actually more like 28ish pounds. *shudder*

However, I've lost about 8 pounds over the past 2 months and am working towards losing the rest of it too.  Well, I'd be happy with 15 pounds...I was a bit on the tiny side back then. 

Part of the the reason behind the ridiculous weight gain is because I tend to get hungry at night and eat my way through quite a few calories.  My cravings lead me toward the dark path paved with white carbs - tortillas heated with butter, cinnamon & sugar - that sort of thing.  Lately, I've been stopping myself and brewing up a cup of tea instead.  Zero calories. Tons of Satisfaction. Cravings smushed. 

Plus I get to drink it out of one of my beloved mugs. I've received them as gifts over the years or have picked them up here and there.  I'm not ashamed to admit how ridiculously fond I am of my mugs.  I love them. In fact the one pictured below was accidentally thrown away one day and I literally dug through 3 bags of trash at work to retrieve it.  Yes I did.  And its not like it was expensive...cost me .35 from a thrift store but it's very cool and I've never seen another one like it.  So I guess that makes it priceless. At least to me.

What do you do when the cravings come a calling?  And what do you crave the most and when?
