About an hour ago, Kevin left to go over to our friends house and get caught up on a series they are watching called The Pacific. I have an afternoon all to myself! And as it is a beautiful day here today in Dallas (sun is shining, gently breeze blowing etc) I decided to open up the windows and back to door to let in the springy goodness.
I didn't imagine that would mean wildlife.
After flying around pooping on stuff for a while, he landed in our front office area and proceeded to make himself at home and taunt my cat.
Um...hello? Do you see the bird? May I keep it?
I called Kevin home to help me figure out how to rid our home of our flying fertilizer. However, the bird did most of the work by flying into a window and knocking it's self out long enough for Diesel to pounce on it while Kevin ran over and pinned it down.
And then Diesel got freaked out and backed out of the way giving Kevin room to scoop it up in a box and release back into the wild to go inhabit some other gentle breeze loving sucker's home.

Oh no!!! So glad you were able to get it out safely! What is up with you guys and the M's with birds??!!!
I know I shouldn't be laughing, but the image of that poor bird knocking itself out and then Diesel pouncing and unpouncing is just too much.
