Have you ever put something somewhere in your house intending to deal with it at a later date but you get busy and it stays there so long that after a while you don’t notice that it isn’t supposed to be there?
And then you invite people over and all of a sudden you remember that you haven’t put it away and it looks horribly tacky all out in the open like that?
NO? Well, I’m not sure we can be friends anymore. Not that you’d want to be my friend after I show you this.
Does something look a bit off in that photo?
Maybe this one will bring it into focus a bit.Yup, that’s my sofa….vertical. In my entryway. The first thing you would have seen if you would have walked in my front door.
It probably would have stayed that way for a quite a while because we almost never come in our front door and so we didn’t notice it too much. It just blended in. Weird, but true. And then we invited our new friends over for dinner on Saturday. The friends that happen to be our landlords.
And I thought…..Holy crap! They can’t see that!!
Wait…I should back up and explain WHY it was all vertical in the first place. Basically, it is huge and Kevin couldn’t wrangle it into the back room that I wanted it in. (It was to go in a back room because Diesel’s WWE name is “the couch killer” and he had scratched the living daylights out of it and it wasn’t very pretty).
Ok…back to the story… we couldn’t let our new friends/landlords see our couch leaned up on the wall and they also couldn’t see it in all its pathetic torn-up-ness so off we went to the Big W (w…allll…mart) and bought a slip cover.
So now it looks like this!
It's dressed up purty with all 4 feet (legs?) firmly planted on the ground. It's a good day to be a sofa.
It's also a good day to hang out on said sofa and snack on some pistachios and yogurt.
Apparently, the "couch killer" likes yogurt too!

That's pretty funny. Totally something I would do, leave something in a strange place and just never think about it for awhile.
